Hours of Operation
We offer flexible scheduling to be able to serve the greatest number of students and staff. Teachers reserve the library spaces and computers on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are open for circulation:
Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
We are closed from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day.

The Newburyport School District Library Media Program will provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive information services and programs to the school community. Strong emphasis is placed on the development of literacy skills and standards necessary to promote life long learning. The School Library Media Program provides instruction, collaboration, and leadership to the school system and surrounding community.
The Mission of the Newburyport School District is to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The Library Media Program, including facilities, services, materials and human resources are an integral part of the learning process. The collections in the school library/media centers provide a wide range of materials on all levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal and the presentation of different points of view. The materials are provided for students, teachers, administrators, and members of the community.
